Q. Will my DOME Speakers
work with my current equipment?
A. Absolutely. We have designed the Dome Speaker System to
work with virtually any other audio equipment you might already
have - or are thinking of buying - provided your amplifier
has enough power. Weave found that DOME speakers sound great
with all Ibrand name Midi Systems.
Q. What is the
recommended amplifier power to use with my DOME Speakers?
A. The recommended range is between 20
watts per channel (minimum), and 100 watts per channel (maximum).
Q. How many DOME Speakers
do I need?
A. The DOME System can be tailored to your preference. We
find most customers buy a Dome 3-Pac System
2 Satellite speakers and 1 Bass speaker. This will fill a
room up to 5.5 metres by 6 metres (18ft x 20 ft) at a normal
listening level.
If you like to listen to very loud music, or you want to
place your speakers in a bigger room, we recommend you buy
a Dome 5-Pac System 4 Satellite speakers and
1 Bass speaker. If you want more bass simply add another
bass speaker.
Q. Whereabouts in the room should
I place my DOME Speakers?
A. For optimum stereo effect, the speakers should be placed
at ear height about 2-3 metres (6-10 feet) apart. However, your
DOME speakers will work perfectly well pretty much anywhere
in the room. The wall-mounting brackets are a great aesthetic
(and practical) option but are not compulsoryâ for any audio
reasons.
Q. Where do I place my DOME Bass
Speaker?
A. It's better to place the DOME Bass Speaker on the same
side of the room as the satellite speakers, but exactly
where is up to you. You may prefer to place the Bass Speaker
in the corner - this increases the bass because the corner
acts like a horn to amplify the sound.
Q. Can I mount my DOME Speakers onto
the wall?
A. Yes - the Satellite speakers and the Bass speaker can
we wall mounted by using our specially designed mounting brackets.
In addition the Satellite speakers can be angled to the position
of your choice. (See accompanying diagram).
Q. How do
I wire up my DOME Speakers?
A. A Wiring Diagram is supplied
with your speakers. This gives you two different wiring options
depending on the preferred location of the speakers in the
room.
Q. What kind of wire works best?
A. We recommend 18-gauge wire if the run is less than 7.5
metres (25 feet), and 16-gauge wire if the run is longer than
that.
Q. What about putting my DOME Speakers
near a colour TV or PC? Will that affect the colour?
A. Not at all. DOME Speakers are magnetically shielded
so the monitor colours won't be affected.
Q. What colours do DOME Speakers
come in?
A. Four different colours: Aluminum. Red. White. Blue.
As an option Dome speakers can be matched to the colour of
your choice.
Q. How do I clean my DOME Speakers?
A. Methylated spirits on a soft cloth works very well for
both the Satellite Speakers and the Bass Speaker.
Q. Do DOME Speakers come with
some kind of warranty?
A. Absolutely. DOME Speakers come with a 5-year warranty
against any material or manufacturing defects. This is effective
from your date of purchase.
